Who's RSVPing

We wish to invite you to the Amnesty discussion forum on the theme:The rights of LGBTIQ+ Refugees in Kenya and Germany that will take place on 08th December 2021, 2:00 – 3:00 pm EAT / 12:00 - 01:00 pm CET on Zoom and Facebook Live.

Amnesty Kenya and Amnesty Germany have come together to facilitate an informed discussion among civil society activists on the rights of lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ+) refugees. The online event will focus on questions of the legal status, and the lived realities of LGBTIQ+ refugees in Germany and Kenya and the wider East African region.

Structured around a moderator and three panellists, the conversation will provide insights into the lives of LGBTQI+ refugees. Panellists include Njeri Gateru, Victor Mukasa and Philipp Braun. The panellists will also speak about solidarity actions: what can Amnesty International and other advocacy organizations do nationally and transnationally to advance the rights of LGBTQI+ refugees. Participants will get the opportunity to engage with the speakers and each other.

Kindly sign up below and we'll send you the meeting details.

Will you come?
