The late Shujaa Olel is an inspiration to all Kenyans. In the darkest, most dictatorial period of Kenya’s post-colonial history, Dr. Odhiambo Olel remained committed to the right to free expression, assembly and healthcare. For at least two decades, he treated Kenyans denied healthcare including founding father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and was himself detained in the infamous Nyayo House chambers. Join us as doctors, human rights defenders, creatives and leaders of the second liberation celebrate his life and draw insights for Kenya today.
